Are you heading for the Tate Modern, but feel slightly daunted by the queue for the café? Much as we love the Tate’s Level 2 café – and it is good – it’s nice to know there are alternatives. Just around the back of the Tate, five minutes on foot, are the New Bankside tower blocks with the distinctive and spanking new Richard Rogers facades. At the bottom of one of them is Albion, the second branch of a Terence Conran chain. A secluded terrace looks out over a beautifully landscaped garden, far from the crowds.
