One whole cow and two summer nights: better have your baps at the ready, kids, cos there’s gonna be a whole lotta burger beating about!
Next weekend (Aug 30 – 31) the brassy Byron team are visiting the Camden Town Brewery to do what they do best: making mouthwatering meat patties. But this time, beef fanatics will be treated to the ENTIRE beast. The burger joint are handling the whole affair personally, heading up to Scotland to select a cow directly from the farm, and following the process through slaughter, ageing and butchering. The Wholey Cow menu will feature three different burgers from the flavoursome forequarter and chilli from the tougher but tasty cuts (the shins, cheeks and tail), while short ribs will be slow-cooked and sliced into a bounty of bacon/pastrami. Salivating yet? Not quite? There will also be cheesy fries and mac ‘n’ cheese hash browns to accompany, not to mention a wealth of tasty craft beer from Camden Town Brewery, Byron Pale Ale and Lager and Bloody Bull cocktails (where the Bloody Mary meets beef bouillon). Now who’s drooling at their computer screen?
Wholey Cow will be held at the Camden Town Brewery, August 30 – 31.
