Tooting Market goes Mexican for a fiesta to remember

Tooting Market  has a long way to go before it becomes the next Brixton Village Market, but you’ve got to start somewhere. Being a covered market, it’s a relatively sheltered space to host a Mexican-style fiesta in the cooler evenings of September. But nonetheless, Mexican Independence Day will be celebrated on the weekend of September 14/15 by a popup catering outfit called Santo Remedio. Tickets are being sold in advance for the four-course set menu with live music, £30 per head, from 7pm on both nights. Tooting Market’s Bindlesticks Bar will be given a Mexican makeover for the weekend, with tequila cocktails set to be slurped back by the sombrero-full.

Book tickets for the four course Mexican fiesta on September 14/15 from 7pm at edibleexperiences.com.
