This one-hour talk explores how food has been used as art throughout the ages, from medieval sugar sculpture to the slightly scary-yet-delicious possibility of 3D dessert printing. The appetising aesthetics of dessert as spectacle will be illustrated with a range of examples – all edible of course.
Food and Art Through the Ages takes place 4-5pm on Monday September 16 at the Hochhauser Auditorium, Sackler Centre, V&A, Cromwell Road, SW7 2RL. Tickets are £10 (£5 concessions) and can be booked at vam.ac.uk/whatson. Find more events taking place as part of London Design Festival.
