Before the days get short, dark, cold and crap, make the most of what (according to weather reports at the time of writing this) will be a pretty balmy, and hopefully sunny weekend by getting yourself down to the Hewett Street Block Party in Shoreditch this Saturday Sept 21 (12-9pm). This is the kind of street party that you always hope will happen when people bandy about the words ‘block party’. There’ll be some damn good food from Motherclucker, Rawduck, Bao London, La Grotta Ices and more, music from NTS, t-shirt printing and bow tie colouring workshops, temporary tattoos, tie dying, books and mags from Ditto Press, coffee from DunneFrankowski, a coconut shy and Aesop’s beautiful Tokyobikes. Cross your fingers and hope to win big on the charity tombola with prizes from Sager + Wilde, Uniform Wares, Modern Pantry and the amazing new Ace Hotel in Shoreditch. We’ll take one of each thanks. Now, let’s just hope it doesn’t rain.
The afternoon is totally free but you need to register online before at hewettstreetblockparty.com.
