Park life: new mobile map of London’s green spaces

Just in time for summer (whoops), the City of London is launching a mobile map alongside its website that promises to map all of London’s parks and green spaces. Whether you’re looking for a place to work out, or just a calm space to hide away, this is your key to finding green spots nearby when you’re out and about. Find out more at parklifelondon.org.

In similarly brilliant parky news, an ongoing battle to stop the Royal Parks from charging for use of Hyde Park’s old football pitches appears to have been won by the good guy. So, for now at least, it’s free to use the space for all your games. Keep track of the bid to keep the change permanent by following @saveoursoftball.

Find a big or small park near you.
