There are 270 stations on the Underground and Geoff Marshall has visited them all. While some Tube journeys may feel like an eternity, Geoff and his mates endured 16 hours, 20 minutes and 27 seconds of line-swapping, tourist dribbling and that awkward half power-walk/half jog to catch the next train. The feat regained Geoff the Guinness World Record for visiting every Tube station in the shortest time, which he previously held from 2004-2006. This is his 25th attempt to regain his title and Guinness World Records have now acknowledged their arduous achievement, which is nine minutes quicker than the previous record. Pow!

‘We’re well aware that whilst this may be seen as an insanely geeky thing to do, we’ve also had a lot of fun, friendly times doing it — and best of all, a Guinness World Record certificate,’ Geoff explained to the Londonist. ‘People have also been goading me saying that ‘I’d never beat it’, so it was to prove a point to them as well!’ Congratulations Geoff, we salute you!
