If you walked past Triumph’s new pop-up store in Seven Dials, you may well just think it’s your classic lingerie store. But you’d be wrong. Yes, there are helpful staff on hand to give women free bra fittings, lots of lovely matching sets to purchase and the odd awkward man attempting to remember his girlfriend’s bra size. But venture downstairs and you’ll see that this is more than just a load of sexy pants. Triumph are championing an exciting project to support ‘women in making’, celebrating creative ladies and their crafts. As part of ‘The Maker’s Project’, they’ve enlisted Paloma Faith, Gizzi Erskine, Roksanda Ilincic and Grace Woodward to mentor a group of women to help their businesses grow including an illustrator, mosaic and multi-media artist, furniture designer, jewellery designer and a chocolatier. You can read more about each of these talented women in the basement as well as join in on one of the many free workshops taking place. This evening you can join Hoare & Brady to learn about furniture design from 5-8pm or pop down for one of the other sessions coming up including a chance to meet beauty expert Sarah Jagger, jewellery design with Hayley Kruger or print and textiles workshops with Suzanne Goodwin. Triumph really are supporting women, in more ways than one.
