There’s just over a week to go until the launch of the London Film Festival (October 9-20), and tickets are selling fast. The UK’s biggest celebration of new movies covers everything from big Hollywood blockbusters – ‘Captain Phillips’ with Tom Hanks is the opening film – to the tiniest world cinema gems. There are tickets still on sale – and a new batch will be released this Thursday October 3 – so we suggest you head over to our special LFF page to see what’s worth watching and then to bfi.org.uk to see what’s available. Don’t be afraid to experiment – this is one of the best lineups in years, and there are five-star films dotted throughout the programme.
What’s more, tomorrow’s issue of Time Out magazine is going to be packed with London Film Festival coverage – from interviews with stars Kate Winslet and Adèle Exarchopoulos to critics’ picks, FAQs and more – and you can find even more info, reviews and picks on our website. The festival runs from October 9-20 at venues all across the city.
