It’s been 30 years since Battersea Power Station was in use, and there are now plans to turn the iconic art deco building into luxury apartments. You’ll have to wait until at least 2016 for all that, but for now, there’s a new pop-up park to give everyone a taste of what the public park will eventually be like. Also, it’s a pretty good excuse to get up close to the legendary Power Station and admire the awesome architecture before construction begins. The pop-up park is open 10am-8pm on Saturdays and Sundays and you can also check out some great unique wooden structures created by environmental company Kebony, which have been made from electrical remnants of the power station as a gesture towards the history of the area and its future.
