The live bus-tracking map you’ve been waiting for is here

What’s that saying about buses again? It doesn’t matter – no-one likes waiting with no end in sight. Fortunately, web developer and all-round transport angel Matthew Somerville has come up with a solution that makes commuting on London’s big red beasts slightly less excruciating.

Using data from TfL, Matthew has built a live map of all 8,000 of London’s buses travelling in real time across the city, so you can see when your bus is due to arrive from the comfort of your home (or whilst impatiently waiting at the bus stop). He did the same with the Tube in 2010, which you can see right hereAlly Swadling
