Is it the shoes? Pay homage to the humble trainer

is it the shoes

Remember those trainers that would light up when your foot hit the floor? If only it was acceptable to wear those as an adult. From the ubiquitous Converse to the dorkiest clumpy training shoe, everyone loves a good sneaker. Events company We Are Parable are paying homage to the universal foot adornment by hosting a four-day retrospective festival looking at the influence your kicks have had on design, music, art, film and fashion over the last three decades. From October 10-13, the festival will be held at both Boxpark and Rag Factory, where there will be a multimedia exhibition to take you through 30 years of sneaker history and LOADS of trainers on display, the majority of which were borrowed from the Northampton Shoe Museum, one of Europe’s biggest collector’s of trainers (yes, even bigger than you, sneakerheads).
