Fresh from Dubai, the Moving Museum hits London from October 12 until December 15, with its extensive Open Heart Surgery exhibition. Coinciding with Frieze Art Fair, the exhibition brings together solo work from 31 artists and more than 200 multimedia artworks in partnership with The Vinyl Factory @ 180 The Strand and the ICA. The idea of Open Heart Surgery is to put a spotlight on emerging and contemporary art in London for both international and local audiences, featuring artists like Cecile B Evans, James Capper and Jess Flood-Paddock. Be sure to check out James Bridles’ Render Ghosts – a series of works spread along the exterior of the building, Lucky PDF’s recent history of South London’s art scene using films and a 3D memory map. And don’t be afraid to declare your love of KISS at Matthew Smith’s glam-rock workshops, which will be held in a gutted toilet block, where you can learn to make platform shoes and strut the catwalk.
