In the winter of 1983, a group of explorers went missing in an icy tundra. They were last spotted at base camp, which is where, three decades on, you will find yourself prepping to follow in their footsteps. Or so the story goes, as plotted by Up at The O2, who want you to have a truly terrifying climb this Halloween.
From Oct 18-Nov 3, they will be running ‘Climb of the Cursed’, a spine-tingling trek over The O2. Your journey will begin in the abandoned campsite, where you’ll be kitted out with a jumpsuit, shoes and a safety harness, before you’re unleashed on a treacherous mission to the roof of The O2 to find out what happened to the lost climbers all those years ago.
The tours will be suitable for ages 10+ and run from 10am-9pm daily, but after 5pm the spook-o-meter will be shoved up a notch for a surprise scare. And trust us, it won’t just be the wind chilling your bones up there. Danielle Goldstein
