A night of partying and printing in Dalston with Urban Cottage Industries

Posted at 11:00 am, October 15, 2013 in Arts & Entertainment

It’s been four whole years since British vintage manufacturer Urban Cottage Industries hosted their last party and now – for one night only – they’re back. On October 17, enter the beautifully preserved industrial space in Dalston for a night of partying and printing, just 500m away from where Urban Cottage Industries and Historic Lighting began life as an online store. Urban Cottage have collaborated with Print Club London to bring back the historical and world-changing linotype printing machines (which are known among hyperbolic design types as the ‘eighth wonder of the world’), for you to try out for yourself. There will also be a film screening, bar, DJ and historic lighting creations to enjoy and you can also nab yourself some affordable linotype and letterpress prints.

Their last party was huge and tickets are free, so be sure to get yourself onto the guestlist at urbancottageindustries.com/party.
