You may be a beast when it comes to scoffing a vindaloo without shedding a single tear, but could you handle the face-melting clout of the notorious habanero chilli? Put your taste buds to the test on October 22 at The Blues Kitchen in Camden, where they’ll be hosting a raw chilli eating competition to raise money for Action Aid.
The contest costs £15 to enter, and will see competitors take on 10 levels of heat, with onlookers encouraged to up their sponsorship as the burn intensifies. Chilli munchers and spectators can then relax listening to live music from blues and boogie pianist Ben Waters and tuck into something from the bar’s American-themed menu.
