Not only is knitting uber-trendy these days, but now it’s autumn it’s also a practical pursuit. You know what they say: ‘Knit fast, die warm’.  If your needle skills are still not quite up to scratch, head down to the Pavilion Cafe in Dulwich Park on October 28-30, where Southwark Council are hosting seasonal knitting workshops to get you crocheting and French-knitting like a pro (or Ryan Gosling).

As well as improving your handiwork, the artists of KnitterKnitKnitKnit will be helping you turn Dulwich Park into a wintery woven wonderland by teaching you to knit your own vegetables or critters. The woolly autumnal installation will be revealed on October 30 during an evening of live music, storytelling, and knitting songs ‘spun from around the world’ (no idea). Southwark Council have provided instructions to help you knit a pumpkin at home, which you can bring along to add to the installation.
