Pop-up props to the crew behind new venture Sorry, No Vacancies, which sets up shop in a disused, erm, shop, slap-bang in the middle of Brixton Road tonight.

So what makes this pop-up different from the thousands of others? Well, the DJ line-up is pretty spesh, including acclaimed UK house producer Tom Middleton’s Sound of the Cosmos project (Nov 30), funk and disco pro Bill Brewster (Dec 7) and cosmic house voyagers Soft Rocks (Nov 22) all stepping behind the decks between now and January. This lot will provide the kind of soundtracks that most other pop-ups would trade their entire stock of pulled pork and sliders for.

Speaking of food, chef Chris Gillard will be serving up his ‘fantasy hot dog’ menu, and judging by the brilliantly bizarre munch at his London restaurant St. John, there should be some seriously fantastical dawgs on offer.

And there will, of course, be plenty of lush and weirdly named cocktails (a Limited Slip, anybody?), from expert mixologists Soulshakers. Oh, and did we mention that all these beautiful little goings-on are FREE? Well they are, so get down there early to make sure there are still vacancies at this pop-up party inn. Tristan Parker
