Night Tales

Oh hi November, you’re looking fresh. There’s a hell of a lot of stuff coming up this month, but our pals at London OnTheInside have picked the top five things they’re most excited about…

Night Tales, Abbott Street Car Park, Nov 7
‘Dalston Roof Park might have closed for the winter but the good news is there are more plans in the pipeline. Night Tales is a six-week programme of events that includes food from the likes of Patty & Bun, booze from the boys at Background Bars (it’s ALL about the cafe mezcal) and music from Dalston Nites. It all kicks off this Thursday in a transformed car park underground bunker. It’s gonna be the nuts!’

Shake, Rattle and Stir, 5 London Bars, Nov 6,12,13,18,20
‘There’s no escaping the gin revolution, so why not embrace it. There’s no better way to do it than on one of the new Shake, Rattle and Stir gin journeys. Five cocktails, five different bars, five different gin tastings and everything you need to know about the white spirit – oh and a Venga bus in between. Leon the host is a blast and with more dates planned for 2013, it looks like Santa will be getting these on our list. Chin chin.’

Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, Hyde Park, Nov 22
‘We LOVE a bit of Winter Wonderland at Hyde Park, it’s the one place in London that really drives home the fact that Christmas is on its way.  We don’t care how tacky it is, we’ll take a date at Winter Wonderland with mulled wine, ice-skating, a big dirty sausage and ride on the big wheel any day of the week. Oh we wish it could be Christmas every day…’

Tirage, Bishopsgate, Nov 28
‘When we heard about a new joint opening with 120 champagnes on the wine list paired with the likes of blueberry pancakes drenched in cinnamon butter, we knew we had to get in there. What’s more, by Christmas at least 30 of the champagnes will be available by the glass. We feel a credit card bill coming on.’

Independent Label Market, Spitalfields Market, Nov 30
‘A combination of two of the best things in life – records and booze. The Independent Label Market returns to Spitalfields for an extra special Xmas event that sees them team up with the London Brewers’ Market. Exclusive, new and limited edition releases, plenty of beer, live music and DJs.’
