How’s your Saturday night looking? Planning to curl up under your duvet, trawl Netflix and eat your body weight in junk food? Or are you making your way to a muddy park to gawp at some belated fireworks?
All very good plans, but you should probably take a rain check, because this Saturday the Fringe! Film Festival 2014 Fundraising party will be taking place in Dalston and it’s sure to be a blast. After all, why watch yet another action movie or chick flick when you could convene with your friends to watch Fringe!’s boundary-breaking offering of queer shorts from 9pm? Why catch a cold when you could get hot and sweaty busting moves in the notorious Vogue Fabrics basement ‘til the early hours?
At just £5 entry and with a DJ line-up including The Duchess of Pork, Kostakis and De La Loakim, this year’s Fringe! Fundraiser looks set to be just as debauched as years gone by. And the best part is, when you’re nursing your hangover on Sunday morning, you’ll have the comfort of knowing that it was all for a good cause. Amelia Abraham
