Carnaby Shopping Party

Over 100 fashion brands, restaurants and bars in the Carnaby Street locale are joining forces to host the ultimate Christmas shopping party across 13 streets. To mark the arrival of Carnaby’s famous Christmas installation, the area’s concept stores, independent boutiques and flagships will all be offering a 20 percent discount on Christmas purchases to a backdrop of live music, free drinks and goodie bags on Nov 14. We know you haven’t got all day, so we’ll give you the greatest hits. There are many reasons to attend but these are just some of our faves.

1. SHOES!
Look out for an appearance by iconic footwear designer Terry De Havilland who will be signing shoes in his cute little boutique, with live window models and a street cinema projection to celebrate his arrival.

2. BOOZE!
Kitsch nightclub Disco will be popping up in Kingly Court and offering ticket holders a complimentary signature ‘Belvedere Bauble’ cocktail, while Cheap Monday will be keeping people warm with free fika – a traditional Swedish coffee and cinnamon buns. Anyone still in search for a caffeine hit can craft their own coffee with ‘Introduction to Espresso’ classes at Speakeasy, while cocktail fans can sip their own bespoke tipple created at a class at Bittersweet.

3. SCHMOOZE!
Fashion types including style editor Angela Buttolph will be hosting free AW13 trend talks in Kingly Court, while style hunters snap the best dressed shoppers, rewarding them with an exclusive goody bag.

4. ‘DOS!
Benefit Cosmetics will be on had to offer free makeover and styling sessions in its dazzling new Carnaby flagship (check out the spa downstairs – it’s lush) while live music will be on offer from stupendously named up-and-coming British singer Whinnie Williams.

5.  STUFF TO PERUSE!
Nearly every shop in the Carnaby area will offer 20 percent off its wares – which you can tipsily load up on thanks to free drinks and music at many venues – including Lily Allen’s vintage store Lucy in Disguise. If you need a stomach liner, check out the restaurants also offering 20 percent off. Just 80 percent above our favourite price.
