LEGO London skyline snow globe in Covent Garden

Posted at 2:30 pm, November 14, 2013 in Arts & Entertainment

LEGO fans – remember last year’s massive LEGO advent calendar in Covent Garden? What about the world’s tallest LEGO Christmas tree in St Pancras station? They were both made by legendary LEGO master Duncan Titmarsh. So what could he possibly do to top those brick extravaganzas? Build a giant snow globe filled with 14 LEGO London landmarks (oh hi The Shard, Big Ben, Nelson’s Column, London Eye, Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, Covent Garden Piazza) and then make it snow on them. Sure. Duncan used 120,000 bricks and spent 75 days building it and we reckon it’s definitely worth the time and effort. We caught up with him above to hear more about it (and to try and learn some of his mad LEGO building skills!).

Go see the snow globe for yourself in Covent Garden Piazza or find out more at facebook.com/LEGO
