Banish any impending winter blues with the latest gastronomic adventure from Forza Win, creators of Italian supperclubs with a difference. This time, it’s Forza Winter, a communal Italian feast involving masses of prime piggy goodness plus hot cocktails and some finger-tappin’, foot-stompin’ tunes from one of south London’s finest combos. All this is happening every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening throughout November and December, in a disused pickle factory in Hackney with room for 70.
The centrepiece of the feast is porchetta – made with Ginger Pig rare-breed pork grilled over wood for four hours – along with minestrone soup, warm cavalo nero and chestnut salad and a pud (think stuff like white choc panna cotta with cranberries). Veggies and allergy sufferers are catered for too – just tell them when booking. There’s also a bar serving hot cocktails (Italian punch, spiced beer, mulled port and pomegranate), Italian wines and Moretti on tap. And folk/blues/rock combo Josh Flowers & The Wild will be cookin’ up a storm on the (acoustic) music front.
Tickets cost £35 and are available from forzawin.com – you’ll be given the exact location of the event once you’ve booked.
