Robots, roundels, rules of adornment: after-hours at London’s Museums this week

1. Robot Safari at the Science Museum, Wednesday November 27, 6.45pm-10pm.

Robo Spyder and Bat Bot are just two of the 13 nature-inspired robots featuring at this Science Museum show. Experience these robots, meet their creators and even design your own to take part in a Robo Race. Entry is free. More info at sciencemuseum.org

2. Conversation: Kader Attia  at Whitechapel Gallery, Wednesday November 27, 7pm-8.30pm.

Artist Kader Attia joins the chief curator of Whitechapel Gallery to discuss material culture, anthropology and science within his latest work. Zilkha Auditorium. Tickets are £8 (£6 conc., £4 members).

3. A Logo for London at the London Transport Museum, Friday November 29, 6.45pm – 10pm

An evening to celebrate one of London’s most famous symbols, the London Underground roundel. Learn about its history, take part in a tube-themed quiz and make your very own roundel Christmas decoration. Geoff Marshall (record holder for the quickest time to visit every tube station) will be in attendance, while live music will be provided by The Relics. Tickets are £8 (£6 conc.). 4. Rules of Adornment at the V&A, Friday November 29, 6.30pm-10pm.

In keeping with the current ‘Pearls’ exhibition, the V&A presents this evening of workshops, installations, performances and screenings linked by the theme of adornment. Free. More info at vam.ac.uk
