Looking for something to do this Sunday? Not quite sick of Christmas yet? How about a Christmas market – in traditionally cheerless Dalston, of all places.

This Sunday, City Showcase – the people behind the Soho Flea Market – are heading east and will be setting up in Dalston Square for the first ever Dalston Christmas Market, where the focus is on local artisan traders and goods. Young East End creative types have applied for stalls to peddle their wares and the best of the bunch will be selling their goodies, including shopping trolley mugs from Parasite Ceramics and mac ‘n’ cheese as you’ve never tasted it before from Southern street food vender Anna Mae’s. Entertainment and live music comes from Jazz Morley and London Fields Primary School choir, who’ll be pumping out festive cheer while you stock up on gifts, or just presents for yourself.
