Always wished the Underground was cooler (especially in those summer months)? How about if there was a whole carriage made of ice!?! Well if you fancy a trip to Jukkasjärvi in Swedish Lapland, your dreams of a chilly tube can come true. To celebrate London Underground’s 150th birthday, the folks behind the pop-up ICEHOTEL have dedicated one of their suites to the London Underground by creating a frozen tube carriage. This is the 24th incarnation of the ICEHOTEL and there are 65 rooms with 13 ‘art suites’, including the tube one designed by British film-producer turned ice-artist, Marcus Dillistone. If you want to make a pilgrimage to this palace of ice, you’ve got until spring before it all melts away…
