Hache

While many of you will be detoxing this January, we very much doubt that our pals at LondonOnTheInside will be laying off the food and booze any time soon. And good on them! So here are the top five things they’ll be indulging in this month.

Renaissance pubs, Jan 3-31
‘Theres no denying it, January is a killer month. Dark nights, freezing cold, detoxing – eugh! Well we know what we’ll be doing to help us through it. Getting along to one of the Renaissance pubs and taking advantage of the half-price food, that’s what. Detoxing is overrated anyway.’

Haché Burgers, Chelsea, Jan 6
‘Flaming ‘ell it’s a flambé burger and it’s coming to Haché in Chelsea for one day only – the last day of Christmas. The burger comes in a brioche with haché sauce, rocket, pickled onions, grape chutney, morteau and camembert cheese and it’s flambéed at your table. Well why not? Just make sure you’ve got 999 on speed dial…’

Oslo, Hackney, Jan 17
‘After delaying its opening following the Hackney demolition-gate, the new food, drink and music venue Oslo is back on track and set to open this month. Chef Dave Ahern of Burger Breakout fame is at the helm so we’re excited to see what the East End/Norwegian food tastes like.’

Glitches, Birthdays, Jan 30
‘Musically we’ll also be grabbing January by the balls and getting out and about. We’re particularly looking forward to seeing the mighty Glitches who headline Birthdays with support from the electro pop hipster Femme. It’s the last Thursday of the month too, so if you have been detoxing, it’s time to get back on it!’

Q Grill, Camden, Jan 25
‘We’re devils for American-style BBQ food, which is why we’re counting the days until Q Grill opens. The new joint from Des McDonald, we’re told to expect smoked pulled pork, ‘Kielbasa’ hotdogs,  salted caramel and peanut butter puddings and cocktails such as ‘John The Fisherman’ – a concoction involving Julian Temperley Brandy, Aperol and elderflower. Need we say more?’
