The familiar curves of a black cab may well be an iconic feature of the capital, but from this December London could be getting used to a whole new design of taxi. Nissan has just unveiled its NV200 model, which is expected to go on sale at the end of this year priced around £30,000. While the new look may be controversial (remember the outcry when red telephone boxes started to be phased out?), the good news is that its 1.6 litre petrol engine will emit lower nitrogen oxide levels than the diesel engines in current cabs, keeping London cleaner, which can only be a good thing.
