Henry Winkler. What a guy. Not only is he the coolest man ever to walk the Earth (he’s The Fonz for goodness sake), but he’s also an all-round lovely chap. On top of a pile of Emmy and Golden Globe wins and nominations and an OBE for ‘services to children with special educational needs’, yesterday he was given Freedom of the City of London at Guildhall to honour all his brilliant charitable work. And look how happy it made him!

This means that Mr Fonzerelli , sorry Mr Winkler, now has the right to drive sheep and cattle over London Bridge; to a silken rope if hanged (god forbid); to get really drunk in the City of London without being arrested and to carry a naked sword in public. After the ceremony he remarked that he would be taking his livestock over the bridge ASAP and that he already had a sword from playing Captain Hook in ‘Peter Pan’ at the Richmond Theatre.

Oh and yes, I just had to have my photo taken with him. C’mon, it’s not every day that you get to meet a legend and you’d have done the same! Sonya Barber

Congratulations Henry!

If you want to see The Fonz in the flesh, you have until Sunday January 12 to catch him starring in ‘Peter Pan’
