It’s this relationship between man and metropolis that’s at the heart of Sensing Spaces – the latest blockbuster show at the Royal Academy. The exhibition, which opens on January 25, will see the RA’s galleries transformed by a series of huge installations, devised by seven of the world’s most innovative architects. Last week we were lucky enough to get an exclusive sneak preview of the pieces being installed, and can confidently say this is going to be one of the coolest shows of the year.
The good news is, you could be there for free, at the exclusive opening night party. All you have to do to be in with a chance of winning one of three pairs of tickets is take a picture of a structure or space in the city – new or old – that fills you with joy/rage/desire/disgust/etc., tag it with #sensingspaces and post it to Twitter or Instagram.
We’ll include all the best entries in an online gallery closer to the opening of the show, so keep ’em peeled.

All entries must be submitted by midnight on January 20. Multiple entries will be accepted. The competition will be judged by a panel of Time Out editors. Three winners will receive one pair of tickets each, which are valid only for the exhibition’s opening night party (January 21). The winners will be contacted via Twitter or Instagram by noon on January 21.
