Hackney gets a new music venue, restaurant and bar in Oslo

There’s a new addition to Hackney’s growing collection of music venues. However, this one isn’t a basement dive bar, dilapidated pub or a too-cool-for-school café. Nope, Oslo is a proper, real-life music venue with a decent sized stage, proper sound system and light rig.

The former railway station next to Hackney Central is the first venue from promoters DHP Family and will be hosting  bands most nights of the week, as well as an impressive selection of club nights at the weekend. We’re pleased to hear that uber-hip city-hopping promoters Dollop will be programming Saturdays, bringing some impressive names from the underground, including World Unknown’s Andy Blake and NYC-dweller Fatima Al-Qadiri. Downstairs you’ll find a restaurant serving food night and day and a decent bar for a tipple or two.
