Inspector Montalbano Andrea Camilleri

When it comes to famous literary exports, Andrea Camilleri might not be the first that comes to mind. But there’s no denying he’s a crime writer with plenty of clout. With some 20 novels under his belt and a TV adaptation on BBC Four – ‘Inspector Montalbano‘, his work doesn’t just entertain, it makes you hungry. And here’s your chance to try the sumptuous Sicilian dishes that Inspector Montalbano enjoys.

For February only, upmarket Soho Italian restaurant Bocca di Lupo will be putting on book club lunches in their back room with dishes from the books. Starting with The Terracotta Dog on Sunday February 2, each event will include a star-studded speaker and Montalbano fan, including Claudia Roden, Fergus Henderson, and Nancy Dell’Olio. Dishes will include spaghetti in a rich tomato, aubergine and salted ricotta sauce, rabbit cacciatore, charcoal-grilled tuna with prawns, and of course Sicilian wines. Buon appetito! Celia Plender

Prices range from £30-£55. For more information and to book go to boccadilupo.com
