We’ve all worn some pretty dodgy outfits in the past that we thought looked crazy cool at the time. But when looking at old photos, if you can get past the mega cringe factor, many of our old fashion choices stir up poignant moments from our past. The What We Wore Project wants to celebrate the style of our former selves and is aiming to create people’s history of British youth style from 1950 to the present day, which will be turned into a book later this year. To do this they need your photos and stories (and those of your family and friends). You can submit your images any time through firstname.lastname@example.org, but from Saturday Feb 22 until Feb 28, The What We Wore crew will be taking up residence at the Ace Hotel in Shoreditch from 12-7pm ready to scan your images and hear your stories. So dig out some old photos and be proud of what you wore.
