Brixton Prison breaks out the napkins for The Clink restaurant

Posted at 10:30 am, February 25, 2014 in Food & Drink

Breaking out, sure – but who would have thought it was so hard to get into a prison? The Clink Charity has now opened up Brixton Prison to visitors wanting to pop in for lunch. Thanks to The Clink, prisoners are taught catering skills, and real customers (ie you and me) get the chance to pop in and try the menu out. The catch is that to gain a booking, you need to e-mail your details (including your profession – we were tempted to put ‘locksmith’), wait for their approval, and then you get the chance of a sitting at noon or 1pm, Mon-Fri. But do they do Porridge? We’ll need to get in first to find out. Guy Dimond
