Party people Rumpus are bringing their little sister project The Travelling Tavern to the London Fields Brewery on February 28 for a night of hoedown and dirty shenanigans. They’re harking back to an age before electronic music and instead offering a mash-up of old-school musical styles including swing, blues and gypsy jazz. Barndancing badasses Cut A Shine will be on hand to make sure you’re not dancing like a square and in keeping with the theme of celebrating years gone by, there’s Dickensian breakfast street food on offer. No, we’re not sure what that entails either. Rumpus say that ‘Going to a good party should feel like wandering through a festival, but without having to pay a fortune or having to sleep in the mud.’ Let’s hope that’s the case and you don’t end up camped out in a tent on London Fields. That would be way less fun.

Enjoy a taste of what’s in store in this video of the Travelling Tavern‘s inaugural night. For tickets, click here.
