We’ve all had that moment of despair while trapped on a packed tube during a morning commute. Sweaty, cramped and acutely aware of what the guy in front of you had for breakfast (eggs, it’s always eggs!) you could be forgiven for thinking you were on a trip straight to hell.
It’s fitting then that educational charity The Iris Project has recently created a tube map of the Greek underworld for the amusement of those of you with the classical know-how. The Northern line? Now the Hades line and the District line, a river of wailing (isn’t it anyway?).
The map is being used to promote the charity’s free day of classical storytelling workshops on April 1, with more info on the event available at irisproject.org.uk
