Snoop Dogg

Another Friday morning means another opportunity to book tickets for some huge upcoming shows. As usual, we’ve got loads listed on our weekly ‘just announced’ page, but here are the biggies – the ones that make it worth hammering the ‘refresh’ button at 9am tomorrow. Good luck!

 SNOOP DOGG

Over the last year or so, ol’ Snoop’s released a reggae album as Snoop Lion, a chill-out instrumental record as DJ Snoopadelic and an electro-funk album as Snoopzilla. Midlife crisis much? He’s back to his Doggy-style ways for this big Brixton gig, so expect all the hits from ‘Gin and Juice’ to ‘Drop It Like It’s Hot’, plus whatever else he happens to be working on by the time June rolls around.

Aerosmith

 CALLING FESTIVAL: AEROSMITH

No longer Hard Rock-affiliated but still packing a hefty rock ’n’ roll punch, Calling moves to Clapham – and the big news is that US stadium rock kings Aerosmith are due to sling power chords across the common this June, led as ever by rubber-lipped screamer Steven Tyler and guitarist Joe Perry.

Paloma Faith

PALOMA FAITH

Hackney’s sassy, retro soul songstress, who’s an out-and-proud fan of insane outfits, theatrics and doo-wop harmonies, plays cuts from her latest LP ‘A Perfect Contradiction’. Can the show possibly be as bonkers as the album sleeve? Quite probably.

Lykke li

 LYKKE LI

Swedish pop singer Li is a magnetic presence who favours total immersion in her live shows, veering from wild banshee to vulnerable chanteuse. Don’t miss her.

 The Pizza Underground

 THE PIZZA UNDERGROUND

Macaulay Culkin’s pizza-themed Velvet Underground tribute band. Do we need to say any more?

Noel Fielding

 AN EVENING WITH NOEL FIELDING

The pointy-faced half of ‘The Mighty Boosh’ is back on tour for the first time in five years in ‘An Evening with Noel Fielding’, promising chunks of surreal stand-up, live animations and musical spots. Plus, Fielding fan favourite characters The Moon and Fantasy Man will be making an appearance. The real question is: will Old Gregg be flashing his mangina and drinking Baileys from a shoe?

Ricky Gervais/David Brent

DAVID BRENT & FOREGONE CONCLUSION LIVE

Ricky Gervais’s funniest and most successful character creation hits the Hammersmith Apollo, backed by his band, Foregone Conclusion. There’s no stand-up here, just soft rock numbers – including ‘Ooh La La’, ‘Spaceman Came Down’ and ‘Life on the Road’ – played live to 3,500 screaming fans. Brent’s work-in-progress shows last year sold out in a matter of seconds, so these tickets will be snapped up instantly.

 The Klaxons

KLAXONS

The former torchbearers of ‘nu-rave’ return at last for a first taste of their new album, ‘Love Frequency’. Has it been worth the wait? Grab a ticket to this preview show and find out for yourself. But leave the glowsticks at home, yeah?

The Real Estate

 REAL ESTATE

The New Jersey crew are back for more hazy, surfy psych-pop, playing from their new album ‘Atlas’.
