Lionel Richie once musically compared himself to a Sunday morning, which was basically a really clever metaphorical way of suggesting that he’s a cool dude and ladies love him. He’s right, though – Sundays are brilliant, especially at Secret Forum’s Sunday Papers Live.
Taking place on March 30, which just so happens to be Mother’s Day, the event’s upcoming third edition is the perfect excuse to treat your mum to a gift a little more unique than the usual box of chocolates or overpriced soap. Featuring live music from We Were Evergreen and talks on a range of subjects from the widespread kerfuffle in Kiev to who Kanye West has offended this time, the day also sees the Secret Forum folks serving up a roast your grandad would applaud.
There’s also the opportunity to stroll from the event’s base at Cecil Sharp House over to Primrose Hill, where you can get hands-on with an assortment of craft workshops. Elsewhere, there will be performances from beatboxers Reeps One and Shlomo to keep the youths entertained. Grr – youths.
