It may be overcast, and the threat of rain may be ever-present, but with the passing of the Vernal Equinox we can officially announce it’s SPRING!
If last weekend is anything to go by, it’s set to be a non-stop heatwave… although looking at this weekend’s forecast, there’s still plenty of scarf and hearty stew action in store.
But forget that – here’s why to freak out overexcitedly anyway.
The days are getting longer…
By almost four minutes every single day.
And in ten days, the clocks will change!
Sunday, March 30, 1am. SO LONG, DARKNESS.
Which means light evenings…
In 11 days time, it’ll be sunset at 7.32pm. SEVEN THIRTY-TWO PM!
For ages and ages.
It’ll be at least this light for the next six months…
…and sunset won’t be early as it is today for another 203 days. OH YES.
So if you’ve been snoozing through the winter:
It. Is. Time.
Flowers are like whoa.
Trees are like whoaaaah-ah-oh.
And rabbits are, obvs, loving it.
This little guy is about to get so laid.
Sure, the sun won’t always shine.
There will be rain. And rainbows.
But at least one guy thinks it’s going to get scorching.
So that’s basically a dead cert then, right?
Yep, we’re feeling it.
So, prepare to ditch that scarf:
Hang that winter coat up:
Dig out those sunnies:
(OK, we might be getting ahead of ourselves.)
And pump up your tyres:
