A California kingsnake has escaped from its owner’s flat in Drake Court, in the Goldhawk Road area of Shepherd’s Bush, prompting a council warning for tenants to be on high alert. Though the Californian kingsnake isn’t actually venomous and is one of the most popular snakes kept in captivity, chances are you’re going to freak out if you see one of these slithering past you…

Though the snake’s whereabouts currently remain a mystery, Hammersmith and Fulham Council have assured worried residents that they’re dealing with the matter as best as they can given the slippery circumstances. While we’re sure the council has hired the required experts in its effort to return the snake home safely,  there’s another option they ought to explore. ‘Snakes On a Plane’ actor and all-round badass Samuel L Jackson arrived in London yesterday, visiting the capital to promote the release of ‘Captain America: Winter Soldier‘. Assuming he’s still in the city, surely Jackson could rattle up to Goldhawk Road and finish what he started in 2006?
