Old Selfridges Hotel turned into massive free skate-park

Old Selfridge's Hotel Skatepark

It’s amazing, really, that no-one’s previously explored the link between high-end boutique shopping and kickflipping. After all, they’re both… they’re both… no, we’ve got nothing. Still, more credit to Selfridges and London based agency Prime & Fire which have just opened Britain’s biggest free indoor skate-park inside The Old Selfridges Hotel, which backs onto the store. The month-long pop-up is all dusty breezeblocks, exposed brickwork, ramps and bits of floor painted like a double yellow-lined road (parking regulations are well edgy). Plus there are free lessons and protective gear hire as part of Selfridges Board Games season
