We all have our own opinions of what best defines the character of our local neighbourhood but what does everyone else think about us? Well thanks to a new survey, online urban community work.shop.play have had a crack at creating a map of the capital with each and every borough labelled by the stereotype Londoners most regularly associate with it.
The results of the survey revealed most of us regard Hackney’s hipster residents to have the greatest passion for fashion, whilst those in Ealing are said to know social media like the back of their hand. Bromleyites love film and TV more than anyone in the city and Camden locals were deemed the most likely to grab a post-work pint.
In an effort to make the project as comprehensive and accurate as possible, the posters, which are currently on display across the Underground, prominently display the hashtag #myborough, inviting commuters all across the capital to contribute their opinion to the survey.
If you’re a tee-total home owner in Camden or live in Ealing yet have never heard of Twitter, have your say and make the maps as truthful as possible. Simply tweet in your suggestion, borough and use the hashtag #myborough
