If like us you’ve got a major sweet tooth, you’ll want to get yourself over to Selfridges quick-smart to indulge in the delights of the store’s extensive new confectionary hall, which boasts over 200 products and 50 brands within its 4,000 square feet interior.

This newly built cathedral of confectionery stocks all the usual suspects and more, with an all-encompassing range of chocolates and sweets, plus regular masterclasses for customers who want to create their own cocoa-based delights. The new sweet hall’s pride and joy, however, is a chocolate library overseen by Selfridges’ very own resident ‘chocarian’, who’s on hand to guide visitors through the library’s comprehensive collection of chocs.

From white to dark, truffles to Twixes, the library is stocked with over 400 new chocolate bars. There are 30 brands exclusive to Selfridges, plus a variety of new flavours that would make a certain Mr Wonka proud, including lemongrass, green grape, black olive and camel milk. And don’t worry, just because they’re calling it a library, doesn’t mean you’re expected to return anything that you take away. In fact, we’d recommend that you definitely, definitely don’t.
