Back in March, this very blog boldly stated that ‘no one captures Englishness quite like Martin Parr’. The photographer’s work is rightly lauded as some of the best of its kind, offering sneaky little peeks into the British way of life like few others can manage. We made that claim back when food collective Art of Dining brought his work to life with a full-on edible Parr-themed experience, which was both delicious and massively popular. So now you’ve seen his pictures, and you’ve eaten them, what better for dessert than the chance to hear the man himself in conversation? He’ll be waxing lyrical and jabbering away about his life’s work to photojournalist Paul Lowe at the London College of Communication on May 22. But the real clincher is that it’s free. Easy on the wallet AND the eyes.
