Street food newbie Night Tales popped up for six weeks at the Abbot Street Car Park in Dalston last winter and gave food market veterans Street Feast a run for their money. They had negroni and mezcal bars, food from Smokey Tails and Patty & Bun, music from NTS, Vortex Jazz Club and Seth Troxler and queues around the block. Lots of eating, drinking and merrymaking was had and we were sad when they closed in December. But now they’re back – for one weekend only. This bank holiday (May 23-25), they’re taking over the Dalston Department Store with three cocktail bars (tequila, spritz and pisco, to be precise) and food from Peruvian Shoreditch-based restaurant Andina. All this and DJs across the weekend spinning house, disco and funk. Sounds like a pretty sweet way to spend the long weekend.
Tickets are available on the door for £6 a pop so get down early. Find out more about Night Tales.
