Kew Gardens is launching its summer festival Plantasia this weekend. The sensory extravaganza promises loads of workshops and activities exploring the power of plants.

Visitors can go for a barefoot walk along tree trunks, relax at the Grass Gardens, or channel their inner Bear Grylls by learning about the planet’s most potent medicinal herbs. There will also be Tai Chi classes, workshops on how to create your own natural remedies, and a gin and tonic garden where you can enjoy a bevvie while learning how cocktails are health-enhancing (no joke). Plantasia starts Saturday May 24 and runs until September 7.

Love nature? Find out about the medicinal urban garden pop up in Bethnal Green.
