The annual Taste of London outdoor food festival is back. Whether you wince at the prices or have your fork at the ready, these culinary events (of eight sessions over five days) will be returning for another year of gastronomic Glastonbury. There’s no shortage of rock star chefs, including René Redzepi, the famed front man of acclaimed Danish trailblazer Noma; and the more home-grown Tom Kerridge, of the Hand and Flowers in Marlow, Bucks. And that’s just for starters.
During the festival Regent’s Park will also serve up snacks from forty London eateries, from refined grease lovers Meat Liquor to the Japanese-Peruvian dishes of Sushisamba. Feed your mind with Q&As and cooking master classes from a meze of restaurateurs.
Prices start from £24 per session, but if you don’t want to be left just licking your lips you’ll also have to buy ‘crowns’ (the on-site currency) – so it seems there really is no such thing as a free lunch. Alexandra Gerrity
