Feeling bold? Talk to a stranger (and Time Out staff!) on the South Bank this Saturday

It’s hardly surprising that Londoners tend to clam up when strangers open their mouths – between the chuggers, the lost tourists and the general crazies, an invitation for a simple chat is rarely just that.

It’s a shame, since 99 percent of us are fantastic conversationalist, with thoughts, opinions, memories and the odd hilarious impression to share – we’re just too damn busy whizzing about the city to stop for a good natter.

But we think it’s high time London gave conversation a chance, so we’ve teamed up with the good folk at Talk to Me London and the Southbank Centre to host a one-off ‘Talk Bar’ this Saturday (Sat Jun 28). Simply head down to Queen’s Walk (the pedestrianised bit of the South Bank in front of Royal Festival Hall), grab a seat at our long table, pick a topic and discover the wit and wisdom of your fellow Londoners.
