Drinks might not be free but there’s enough fun and sunshine for everyone this weekend as Hoxton Arches will be transformed into a tropicana-themed illustration fair with live mural painting, a bar, BBQ and, of course, plenty of drawings from around Europe and the UK.
For all you budding illustrators out there ‘Handsome Frank’ director Tom Robinson will be conducting one-to-one portfolio reviews, there will be a print-your-own ice-cream monster workshop, and visitors can watch David Shillinglaw paint an outdoor mural.
The summery tropical theme is the work of featured artist Ruby Taylor of Puck Collective who is stocking up the print shop with her exclusive new prints and who will also create a tropicana-themed mural for the event. To add to the summery festival vibe, there will also be a Brazilian inspired BBQ and a tropicana bar, where yes, you will have to buy drinks..
The London Illustration Festival, 12 – 9pm (Saturday July 5), 12 – 6pm (Sunday July 6), Hoxton Arches, Arch 402, E2 8HD.
