London: it’s a jungle out there. Especially at Liverpool Street station, where yesterday commuters were hit by a stampede. No, not the normal rush-hour dash down to the Central line, but a pop-up performance by live art collective Artful Badger. The stunt was to promote the upcoming Wilderness Festival, in Oxfordshire from August 7-10. Beginning at Liverpool Street, the troupe swanned (or rather owled, foxed and zebra’d) their way in full costume all the way across to Soho Square.

For animal lovers who missed out, the Artful Stampede is set to be repeated at Wilderness. Also on the bill are bands including Metronomy, London Grammar and classic crooner Burt Bacharach, as well feasts by chefs Simon Rogan and Angela Harnett.
